Name: Ray PhillipsContact Info: rfphillips@worldnet.att.netBorn on Date: a while ago Wargaming History: I first came to gaming in the 70's, initially a board gamer but soon came to love miniature gaming and painting. I have been involved in HMGS for 7 years, mostly through conventions. Platform: I would like to be a member of the Board of Directors to assist in the continued advancement of gaming in general. Name: Rickey GriceContact Info:Born on Date: about the same as the rest of us... Wargaming History: I have been in the hobby for the last 21 years. I spent 7 years on the Suncoast Skirmishers Board of Directors. My experience with these conventions will help to serve you better as a board member. I am currently the Treasurer and have filled the role of HMGS South treasurer nearly from South's founding two years ago. Platform: I believe quality shows will help to build a better organization. Name: Craig MartelleContact Info: cmartelle@oasistech.comBorn on Date: 22 Oct 62 Education: Bachelor of Arts in Russian from The University of Arizona. Profession: I am a career Intelligence Officer in the United States Marine Corps. Wargaming History: I grew up near Lake Geneva, Wisconsin and started D&Ding in 1974. As any youngster, I was fascinated by the fantasy genre, but I also was one of the original purchasers of TSR's Tractics – which I still have today (in the box). My favorite (and only) period before coming to Tampa was WWII. After a few eye-opening games and conventions, I am expanding into ACW, AWI, FIW, Samurai, Caribbean Pirates, and pretty much any other skirmish-level game (I like 20-25mm, what can I say). I have been South's newsletter editor and webmaster for the last year, as well as Convention Director for last year's Hurricon and this year's Recon. Both the newsletter and web page have been hailed by the HMGS National Board. Platform: For HMGS South, I will simply continue what I've been doing. As always, the reason HMGS South exists is to advance the learning of history through miniature wargaming. O.K. So there are your four choices for two open positions. Make your selections on the provided ballot and mail to the included address. Thanks for your participation in HMGS South! p.s. Why did I have to be the most long-winded?
