About HMGS South The Rebel Yell

The Rebel Yell is published bimonthly.

Subscription rates are $10.00 in the United States and $15.00 in Canada and the rest of the world.

Method of Payment

In the USA personal checks, cash and money orders are accepted. In Canada and the rest of the world, USA currency, postal money order in US Dollars, or your local paper currency equivalent are accepted.

The Rebel Yell is published six times a year by HMGS South, a not-for-profit organization. All current HMGS South members will receive the RY, pending notification of the editor with current address (i.e. if you move and don't tell us, you won't get it). Others can purchase the RY for $5 per issue (postage included) from the editor. Editor: Craig Martelle. The editor or HMGS South BoD reserve the right to edit submitted materials for grammar/spelling and to not include material deemed bad for the hobby. HMGS South is...

HMGS-South is a non-profit educational organization which is a part of a national Historical Miniatures Gaming Society, (HMGS). The society is organized to promote interest in Miniature Historical Gaming.

HMGS-South publishes a Newsletter entitled, "Rebel Yell" which contains information relevant to the hobby and industry of wargaming. This bulletin serves as the primary means of advising members of HMGS-South of club related business and upcoming activities.

HMGS-South also hosts an annual convention in the Tampa Bay area. The purpose of this event is to showcase the club to the community, have fun by enjoying the hobby, to promote interest in gaming and provide a coordinated forum for gaming issues.

HMGS keeps an updated roster of all active members. This roster is made available to the membership to facilitate the location of fellow garners with similar interests. The latest listing will be distributed at Hurricon.

Membership is open to the public. HMGS-South adopts as its goal, the general education of the community in the areas of Military History, Tactical and Strategic Military Operation and sportsmanship. HMGS welcomes any interested individual of good moral character who submits an application, pays the membership fee for the current year and is accepted by the Board to participate in its activities.
