Hurricon 97

by Craig Martelle

Owing to our advertisers, success of our flagship convention - Hurricon 96, and most of all, our members for their input and support of our advertisers, we are now able to produce a full-color newsletter. The quality of the material within is still dependent on you, our readers. Keep those submissions coming in! We can expand as much as we need to in order to fulfill the needs of the miniature gaming enthusiasts.

From Biblical to the American War for Independence (AWI) to the American Civil War (ACW) to modern times, miniatures wargaming provides insight into our history (as well as the enjoyment of playing the game). Look for the Rebel Yell to publish news about the hobby, upcoming events, rulesets & modifications, gaming gear for sale, and more. Not everyone is interested in the same era or style of gaming, so we'll do our best to provide something for everyone.

Although alternative gamers who play things like Warhammer 40K are HMGS South members, the priority of publication is historical. Nevertheless, we'll do our best to get alternative material into these pages. For the pure historical gamers, like Chuck Kennedy, "going postal" isn't the answer... Enjoy this issue and submit your material at any time via snail-mail to Craig Martelle or Rhett Scott: e-mail: cmartelle@oasistech.com or rhettscott@aol.com.
