Blame it on Chuck Kennedy. Ever since some of us were crowded out of RECON 03 prematurely, he's been pushing for early registration for the convention, the hotel, and games. When I pulled the PEL from the web site there were 76 games up already, not counting second sessions or the DBA Tournament. And the selection is good. I'll miss all those Sikhs, but Jay Stribling and Dr. Mark Stevens are returning with another suite of colorful epics-Crimean, Russian Civil War, and Napoleon in Egypt (the French actually dressed funnier than the Sikhs.) And our home team offerings are also spectacular. Be sure and check the web site as new games are added. Of course, when it comes to registering additional games, for the hotel, or even for the convention, you've missed the bonus drawing. But there is still time to sign up for all those things-and for the regular drawings of Chuck's Bucks. This can be done through the HMGS SOUTH web page: httn://hmgs-south.org. I also recommend that members check the cub/shop lists. Jeff Cornett provided new information on the Central Florida Gamer's Network. And Bill Moreno told me that my information on South Florida Garners was ancient history. And, of course, Tower Games is not where it was previously listed. Even if you aren't shopping for new contacts at the moment, take a look. Let me know if I have things wrong. People are frequently trying to contact other gamers in the area, and we try to help things along. e-mail: pcondray@xtalwind.net Back to Rebel Yell No. 25 Table of Contents Back to Rebel Yell List of Issues Back to Master Magazine List © Copyright 2004 by HMGS South This article appears in MagWeb.com (Magazine Web) on the Internet World Wide Web.
