Keri, Vilef, Kip and their Ghosts ran down the last flight of stairs and headed for the well house junction. They arrived to find Murki and Tara and an unknown elf waiting for them. Vilef addressed the elf: "Are they going through?" "All the way!" "Good. I'll be glad when we get out of here." "Me too," voiced Keri. Suddenly, a cloud of smoke slowly filtered into the passage. "They're burning the well house!," said Vilef in astonishment. "We're all out of there." said Murki in anticipation. "Quick, seal off the passage!" The unknown elf stepped up and slammed shut a steel door that had until now been unnoticed. No more smoke entered their passage. Next, Kip counted the Ghosts. "We're all accounted for, Vilef." "C'mon folks, to the next junction!" said Vilef... Vilef's group met up with Rollvag's group. "Did we get everyone?" called Rollvag to Vilef. "So far!" As they walked up the new passage, two sponge beasts moved in behind them to seal off the tunnels... (LATER) While the Kanokai hid in the mushroom caves; Byc, Rollvag, Neetah, Elkin, Keri, Tato, and Vilef crouched behind the trees at the edge of one of the cave openings. They watched the busy scene below them in the dawn: A great smoke ushered up from inside the castle. The Drog ran about everywhere. Several leaders shouted orders. As the adventurers watched the undisciplined Drog get back in order, several marching groups formed in the Muda garrison. "Byc," whispered Rollvag, "What do you make of it all?" "They tried to kill the Kanokai first. Now they are debating whether to leave this `Sorcerous Castle' immediately or to search for "Invisible Elves." They are as mad as hornets, Rollvag." "Neetah?" "General, I urge that we leave now while they are still confused. If we stay, they'll surround us with greater numbers. They probably will discover us soon anyway; and if that happens while we are still here, we'll have no place to run to. The evacuation route we have already planned to take: parallel to this elevation and then down to the Pine Forest will provide us with the greatest cover, and give us time to form our rear guard defense across the valley; while the Kanokai travel along the east side around to Mt Stark and the Dwarven Ruins." (END TURN NO. 15) What will you do?
From the GM Well guys, I finally finished this bear of a turn. I suggest you think about position of your personnel and terrain which I will be happy to tell you about over the phone. Needless to say there'll probably be a big battle next turn. I'm fine, although a bit worn out from work. Starting in September there will probably be six new players. Keep in touch! Miss seeing you all. Back to Arveta 4 Table of Contents Back to Arveta List of Issues Back to MagWeb Master Magazine List © Copyright 1999 by Abram Paradies.
