WARPAINT SCENARIO ONE

BUFFALO CHIPS!

From time to time, I intend to offer a few additional scenarios for WARPAINT They have no particular sequence, but whatever strikes my fancy. There will be occasional extras for flavour as well. So, without any further ado, I submit the following:

SCENARIO ONE - BUFFALO CHIPS

As the white buffalo hunters spread across the Great Plains, depriving the Plains Tribes of sources of nearly everything, they met growing opposition from their competition for the beasts.

TABLE - 5'x8' with low rolling terrain. A stream should bisect the table across the center; buffalo wallow (crater-like depression of muddy ground) should be at the table center. At least one deep coulee and several patches of woods (3" x 4" each) should dot the table.

    4) Fillet Frank - Henry Repeating Rifle, Pistol, Knife

All are mounted and there are four pack ponies loaded with hides. Enter on one end of the table.

Major victory if no one is killed and the hides are safe.
Victory if the hides are safe and at least two men survive.
Minor victory the hides are safe and one man gets away with them.

    6) Little Eagle - Bow & Arrows, Pistol, Tomahawk
    7) Laughs Like Bear - Lance. Pistol, Tomahawk
    8) Wears The Whitecoat - Musket, Tomahawk
    9) Steals Many Pigs - Lance, Pistol, Tomahawk
    10) Paints The Eyes - Breechloader Rifle, Tomahawk
    11) Makes Lodgepoles - Lance Bow & Arrows. Tomahawk
    12) Ancient Warrior - Musket, Pistol, Tomahawk

All leaders of the War Party are mounted. They may be in a maximum of three groups and enter on Turn 1 moving on to the edge of the board only! They may enter at any point on any edge.

Major victory is gained by killing all the Hunters while losing no more men than the Hunters. Minor Victory is gained by killing all the Hunters. Automatically lose if all the Leaders of the War Party are killed.
