I have for review some interesting 25mm scale resin items, 2 Wild West facades (wargames are going West at the moment!) and a log - tree trunk really - as a barrier or terrain piece. The casting is really excellent with no bubble holes and no "mites" sticking up. The modelling is fine. One can either put ones own "scratch built" back on to the facades or buy resin ones from Snapdragon. At the moment there are two available (unseen): OAWF8 - Medium Timber-clad back with windows (6 pounds) and OAWF9 - Small Timberclad back, no windows (5 pounds)

These facades go well with Guernsey Foundry's Old West Range of figures and Dixon's Wild West range too. I'll list the items and draw them, not to scale.

OAW 17 Single log barricade. This is actually a tree-trunk ou its own textured base and is very effective in realism. Having painted it up, I have seen far less good logs supporting robins and mice as ornaments at 29 pounds in Mway shops (1.50 pounds).

OAWF 4 Drug store. (4.25 pounds). Two doors and a central window over which is a columned false front with a pediment. Before it is a boardwalk and beneath that a textured base 110mm wide x 36mm deep. It is 93mm high. I've painted it pale green - bound to make the figures fall ill. come in and buy drugs - or a dandelion and burdock!

OAWF 5 Victoria's Dining Room. Or for US people a Diner" (4 pounds) This has a big window with a glazed door on the right Across the top of the window and door are 4 small lights (windows) in proportion to those below. Above these is an inset board which you can letter "Victoria's Diner" or "Walt's Lunch" or whatever. This too has a pediment - rather more stylish than the drug store. Before the facade is a boardwalk and under that a textured base 110mm wide x 37mm deep. The facade is 85mm high..

Snapdragon has 20 items in their Old American West Buildings; seven facades and two "backs" in their facades range and ten items in their Mexican buildings. On request you'll get an eighteen-page leaflet of all the things they make. Scales range from 1:300 Science Fiction, 1:300 Frontier Town, Fantasy Buildings and vehicles - all scales, 15mm Strongholds for "Hordes of the Things". A 25mm General Purpose Range, Middle East Buildings, ACW trenches and bunkers, 20mm WWII and Vietnam defences - you send for a list! Spaceships too. Drawings not to scale - and the models are more exact than the drawings!
