The Hillsborough Irregulars
(20 man TSAF standard units) Allied (2 leaders per unit)
Chinese troops (1 leader per unit)
(Each unit given secret instructions.) French: Main goal is to get off the board any way possible marching. Your line of march follows the railroad tracks to the North. You are not cooperative with anyone else. The French take care of their own. Protect yourself but get out. You are reluctant to "give them the bayonet". Enter at H. British: Your main goal is to protect lives and property. Your reputation and the empire depend on you. You may not withdraw until turn 4 and then must roll 6 on d6, then 5 then 4 etc. on successive turns. The Americans are your natural allies, talk to them. Enter at F. U.S. Troops: Your main goal is to get off the board by train carrying all your wounded and civilians. You are not to consider any other mission that does not get you off the board on the train. You do not trust the French. Enter at B. Imperial Chinese Troops: Imperial troops are not interested in any hand to hand combat. They might try to block the tracks. You may have access to Train rules section. Two men may carry blocking material at half speed. If one is shot, it takes one turn to pick up log/boards, etc. You do not like the boxers. It takes 4 men 5 turns without receiving fire to tear up one track. Do not discuss your plans with them. Your cannons cause 10 points damage per die hit on train stock. Enter at A. Boxers: Your job is to destroy the Foreign Devils and the Iron Beast that disturbs the sleeping spirits of your ancestors. You may also see train Rules. Magic will protect you and to kill the devils in hand to hand combat is an honor. You must attack, attack, and attack. Enter at E. Tiger Men: You are elite forces within the Chinese force structure. Your job is to capture Europeans. Officers are the most valuable for ransom. The more you capture the better. Enter at E. Train and Train Track Related RulesTrain Starts at X and moves North
