Castle Assault Project

Siege Tower

By Dean and Palmer

Materials Needed:

A milk carton (clean!)
8 craft sticks (small size)
12 3/4" square of foamcore board
4 bottle caps
Wax paper
Brown construction paper
Scissors
Glue

1 . Cut off the top of the milk carton, so that the section remaining is about 2 1/2" deep. Carefully make two cuts in one side of the milk carton to make the ramp:

2. Lay out the wax paper, and glue two craft sticks together to make a long beam. Make three more, all the same length. Let them dry for at least an hour:

3. Lay two beams flat on the wax paper. Put glue on both ends of each beam. Place the milk carton on one end, and the piece of foamcore on the other end:

4. Place glue on the foamcore and the milk carton and attach the other two beams. Allow the glue to dry for-at least an hour:

5. Cut a piece of brown construction paper 8" square. This should be big enough to wrap around three sides of the tower. Fold it and trim it to fit, and then glue it in place. You will have one open side, which should be the side opposite to the ramp.

6. Turn the tower upside down, and glue on four bottle caps (all the same size!) to represent the wheels. Allow to dry.

7. Paint the tower.
