Dedicated to David Barnes

"It's more than a magazine."

A special thanks to two stalwarts of the SWA, first Godfrey Bailey who as been Board games Editor for ever, it seems, and now is into figures! Hope to nip in and see Godfrey next April during a planned Water Polo trip to Malta, it will give me the opportunity of thanking him personally and maybe have a game. Steve Moore, that powerhouse behind the throne, has had to stand down and on behalf of all members of the SWA, I would like to thank for the hard work he has done on our behalf over the years. Kris Constable has, again, taken on the role of Membership Secretary and I will be doing Production Manager on a temporary basis, so if any member feels they can spend a bit of time doing the job please get in touch. Steve is now taking over as Publicity Secretary, so see you at Triples. Welcome to Lars who is stepping into Godfrey's shoes, so from Malta to Denmark the job goes, and no one can say we are not global.

SWA now has its own website! This was an initiative of a member, which came out of the blue, and so welcome aboard to Grahaeme Ross. Worry not Lone Warrior will not be published on this site, the only place to continue to read Lone Warrior on the WWW will be on MagWeb.com, and the site will be used as described. It is a great means of advertising the SWA and Lone Warrior.

They tell me it is the end of this millennium, or was that four years ago? However, I do know it is the time of year when we all wish the best to all our friends and relations, wherever they may be. I would like to take this opportunity to wish you and yours all the best for the coming New Year and look forward to hearing from you in the year 2000.
