These rules from the pen of Barrie Lovell are 92 x A4 pages long, have 2 card Quick Reference Sheets and a card sheet of counters. The new rules include, Artillery & Air support rules, Armoured vehicles, Combined & Target Location at Night (including full rules for pyrotechnic illumination).

There are the following new sections included: Rules for controlling ammunition consumption and supply, VC Sappers, Jungle Clearance operations, Tunnel Warfare, Combat in Built Up Areas, Riverine Warfare. Most of the game mechanisms have not changed but have simply been "fine tuned" after 2 and half years playing and feedback from wargamers.

Cost is 8.50 pounds + 10% ptp, those with the original set of rules get 1 pound off if they send their old front cover and order direct from Firebase Games How nice to see an updated set of rules rather than a steady and neser ending stream of amendments being forced on wargamers Barrie is obviously on the same wave length as Steve Neate, Editor of Slingshot, who in his comments in his editorial in Slingshot #184 dated March 1996 agrees with what has just happened to Free Fire Zone No amendments, wait 2 - 3 years between publication and I for one agree with this policy because I usually have considerable trouble reading my scrawled amendments when I have done them and I am always at least one amendment behind the rest of the wargaming world.
