Figure 2 - Police Sergeant-Major, (14 October 1907, when the police became separate from the Protective Force, to 9 July 1915, when what was left of the Protective Force surrendered at Khorab.) Medium Brown hat and band with black-white-red national cockade, golden (brass?) crown badge. Khaki jacket with green collar and shoulder straps, yellow metal buttons and collar pips. Khaki trousers, natural leather belt and pistol holster, yellow metal buckle. These were mounted police and no doubt wore natural leather riding boots.
