Jeff Caruso, if you haven't met him at a convention you should, sent along several new sets of figures. These figures all measure 23.5mm from the bottom of the foot to the eye, or 25mm to the top of the head.

First are two sets of Apaches. Set #1 includes 10 Apaches on foot, while set #2 are 10 mounted. They are all quite nice, great detailing and animation. None of the figures is a duplicate, they have a little flash but no big deal. Along with the mounted Apaches came three horse. The horses are well proportioned and very nicely detailed. Four of the mounted and two foot Apache have open hands for spears. I like all these figs, but two are favorites, mounted firing a pistol and prone firing a lever action rifle.

If I understood right, Jeff thinks the best of the lot, now he likes everything he produces, is his American 3 inch gun, model 1902. And Jeff, it is a great addition, if I can figure out how it goes together. But you're wrong this isn't the best of the lot.

Move over we got us a new war to fight. Jeff has produced a set of twenty Haitians in advancing, standing and firing positions, cast with different heads and equipment. This comes with one officer firing a pistol. These figs with Jeff's previous US Marines and dismounted cavalry will be great for the 1902-1920s era of "Banana Wars." There is no way these figures will leave here. They will soon be joining my Marines and dismounted cavalry figures for some skirmish level fun. I have even collected some old place mats that look like bamboo to make village structures. Now all I need is someone to make jungle foliage inexpensively and I'm ready to go.
