The back side of each corps marker is the "special stacking" side of the marker. The corps marker is flipped to this side to represent any special stacking considerations present in the game being played. For example, in the game A Winter War, the Soviet player uses the special stacking side of his corps markers to indicate stacks which must adhere to reduced stacking limits. In the game Second Front, the special stacking side is used to represent an overstacked condition (primarily arising as the Allies pile troops into their beachheads). It is reasonable to project that there will be additional rules utilizing this game mechanic in subsequent titles, scenarios, and Grand Europa. For this reason all corps markers are backprinted using this styling.
