An Introduction Supermarina II is the completely revised edition of Supermarina, presented originally in issue #17 of the Europa magazine. It is the beta playtest of a detailed, operational-level naval module covering the conflict in the Mediterranean from 1940 through 1943 between the British Royal Navy and the Italian Navy. Supermarina II is designed to be played with Balkan Front, Western Desert, and Torch. Supermarina II is a part of the Europa series of comprehensive division-level games of World War II in Europe and North Africa. Other games and modules in the series are:
Scorched Earth Europa II Balkan Front Europa III Narvik Europa IV Their Finest Hour Europa V Western Desert Europa VI First to Fight Europa VII The Fall of France Europa VIII The Near East Europa IX For Whom the Bell Tolls Europa X (in preparation) Torch Europa XI Second Front Europa XII (in preparation) The Urals Europa XIII A Winter War Europa XIV (in preparation) The Naval War Europa XV (in planning) Grand Europa Europa XVI (in planning) Peace in Our Time Europa XVII (in preparation) Grand Europa will link the individual Europa games and re-create World War II in Europe and North Africa at the division level, using consistent unit strengths and interlocking maps. Each individual Europa game deals with a specific campaign or battle in detail. To provide detailed historical accuracy or playability, individual games and modules may use differing unit scales, time scales, or specialized rules. Supermarina II continues this tradition. The rules allow detailed examination of the events of the naval campaign in the Mediterranean. The maps and counters are at standard Europa scales. Module Credits Supermarina II contains many concepts that appeared
originally in Supermarina, which was published in Europa
#17.
Questions and Comments We've gone to great lengths to make the rules complete, correct, and clear. We may not always achieve perfection, however. If you have a question on the play of this module or any comment about the module, let us know. (Questions on the design of the module may be answered only if time and resources permit.) Cite the rules number. If possible, frame your questions in a "yes/no' or multiple choice fashion, so that we can answer them quickly. Most importantly, include a self-addressed stamped envelope for return mailing. Send your questions to: Rules Court P.O.
