SUB-LIEUTENANTS 4th. uniform: Medium blue tunic and trousers, shoulder boards, white shirt, black tie, dark brown gloves, peaked cap with white cover, black shoes. 5th. uniform: White tunic and trousers, shoulder boards, white shirt, black tie, peaked cap, white shoes. 6th. uniform (a): Khaki tunic and trousers, peaked cap, field cap or khaki helmet, shoulder boards, khaki shirt, black tie, shoes or half boots, khaki belt for trousers. Used for internal services in bases etc. without tunic. 6th. uniform (b): Khaki tunic and trousers, peaked cap with khaki cover, shoulder boards, khaki shirt and black tie, black shoes or half boots. Used for walking out. 7th. uniform: Flight uniform. Same as 6th, uniform (a) with flight jacket of khaki cloth or black leather with black leather or khaki cloth flight helmet. Khaki overalls also worn. 8th. uniform: Sports uniform. White vest, blue design, white shorts with blue stripe. 10th. uniform: Hot weather uniform. Rank insignia on left side of collar, Air Force one on right.
