3."Sachsische Train Soldaten": 4 March 1814. black shako with black bands and side "Vs; yellow cockade with green centre, white metal large plate (design indistinct) and scales; dark blue pompom with red horizontal band, with red tuft above. Short jacket worn open at front, like a sleeved "bolero"; sky-blue jacket with dark blue collar laced yellow, sky-blue shoulder-straps and cuffs edged yellow; front edge of jacket edged yellow, which edging continues around the bottom; white metal buttons; bolero lined white (righthand side of breast is visible, showing lining). Underneath the bolero-jacket is a sky-blue underjacket, apparently single-breasted with white metal buttons, and red horizontal lace loops. Yellow overalls with red stripes on side, white metal buttons; black spurred boots. 4. "Sachsische Landwehr": 14 May 1814. Black hat bearing yellow (brass?) cross, yellow cockade with green wide centre. Dark blue jacket, crimson collar and cuffs, dark blue turnbacks and shoulderstraps piped crimson, brass buttons, grey overalls, black gaiters and boots, black leather belt and cartridge-box, calfskin knapsack with light brown straps; pennon attached to musket, white over red. 5. Black hat, light green loop with brass button, yellow cockade with light green edge and centre. grey jacket with red collar, cuffs and turnbacks, grey shoulder-straps piped red, white metal buttons; dark blue trousers with red stripe, black gaiters and boots; white belts, tan hide knapsack, brass-hilted sword with black scabbard and brass fittings.
