2nd Company
1 Command Infantry Stand
2 Infantry Stands
3rd Company
1 Command Infantry Stand
2 Infantry Stands
4th Company
3 MMG Stands
1 81 mm Mortar Stand (DS)

IInd BATTALION - as 1st Battalion

IIIRD BATTALION - as 1st Battalion

ATTACHED LIGHT ARTILLERY BATTALION
1 Command Stand
1 Forward Observer
2 Kubelwagens
3 105L28 Howitzers
3 Gun Crews (DS)
3 Limbers
2 Ammo Wagons

The reorganization gives to the Infantry Regiment an Engineer Company and an Artillery Battalion, and gives each battalion its own Recon Stand, either Cavalry or Bicycle, and its own 27mm AT Gun. From personal experience I have found that the battalion was the basic unit of the campaign, and it needs its own AT protection and recon ability.

The following units are broken up to provide the stands needed for the above reorganization: 1st-3rd Infantry Divisional Headquarters; 1st-3rd Artilery regiments; 1st-3rd Recon Battalions; 1st-3rd Engineer Battalions; 1st-3rd Anti-Tank Battalions.

The remaining elements are either used to form the following units, or put into the replacement pool:

MEDIUM ARTILLERY BATTALION
as in the old organization but now held at Corps level to be assigned as needed. Renumber as the 331st, 332nd, and 333rd Artillery Battalions.

ENGINEER BRIDGING COMPANY Renumbered as 221st, 222nd and 223rd Companies.
1 Command Stand 1 Kubelwagen
1 Supply Truck with Trailer 2 Engineer Stands
1 Medium Truck with Assault Boat Trailer
1 Medium Truck with Medium Bridge Trailer

At the same time, a comb out should be made of the motorcycle stands attached to the Corps headquarters. With the remaining stands from those broken up units, the following should exist in the replacement pool:
21 Command Stands
3 Gun Crews
6 Cars
3 Light Trucks
9 Staff Radio Trucks
9 Supply Trucks with Trailers
15 Kubelwagens
6 MMG Motorcycle Stands
3 Recon Kubelwagens
3 Recon Motorcycles with MG 3 37mm AT Guns
The above troops can be used in a number of ways. For example, one idea would be to form the following unit:

    2nd RECON BATTALION
    Headquarters
1 Command Stand 1 Kubelwagen 1 Staff Radin Truck
    1st Company
1 Command Stand 1 Kubelwagen 1 Staff Radio Truck
1 Recon Motorcycle Stand 2 MMG Motorcycle Stands
1 Recon Kubelwagen with MG 1 371-45 AT Gun 1 Gun Crew
    1 Light Truck
    2nd Company - as 1st Company
    3rd Company - as 1st Company

An alternative organization would be to use the companies as Independent Recon Units, and list them as the 401st, 402nd, and 403rd MOTORIZED RECON COMPANIES. The trucks can be used to form a Motor Transport Battalion, with the following organization:

    501st MOTOR TRANSPORT BATTALION:
    Headquarters
    1 Command Stand 1 Kubelwagen
    1st Company
    1 Command Stand 1 Kubelwagen
    3 Supply Trucks with Trailers
    2nd Company - as 1st Company
    3rd Company - as 1st Company

This unit can lift a German Infantry Battalion and move it quickly from one point to another.

The remaining units within the replacement pool would them be: 13 Command Stands, 6 Cars, 6 Staff Radio Trucks, and 7 Kubelwagens.

Some of the command stands could then be used to booster the Security Battalions, but for the most part they can be left in the replacement pool.
