Tank Company: 17 M4A1/M4A3 (2 in HQ; 5 in each of 3 pits)
Armored Infantry Company: 20 M3 H/Ts, 13 squads infantry, 3 60mm mortars, 3 57mm ATGs, 13 Bazookas (2 H/T, 1 5qd in HQ; 3 57mm guns and 3 H/Ts in AT pit; 5 H/Ts, 4 sqds, and 1 60mm mortar in each of 3 plts)
Tank Destroyer Platoon: 4 M10 or M18 or M36 tank destroyers, 2 M20 Utility Cars
The basic force listed above runs $87.30. With all of the bells and whistles, the cost rises to $124.05. Using CinC models exclusively (except the infantry, which, due to their quality, I recommend be solely ROS), the basic force costs out at $75.30 (prior to CinC's mail-order discount). The same basic force raised exclusively from ROS models costs $58.20.
USA 1:5 (1 MODEL = 1 PLATOON) 1944-45 COMBAT COMMAND
HQ Company: 1 M# or M5, 1 inf plt, 1 jeep/MMG, 1 M3 H/T
Tank Battalion: 10 M4Al/A3,3 M3 or M5,1 jeep/MMG, 1 M4 or M21 mtr carrier, 1 M4/105, 1 M31 ARV, 1 M3 H/T, 1 inf plt (3 M3 or M5s in lt tank coy, 3 M4Al/A3s in each of 3 tank coys, all else in HQ)
Infantry Battalion: 10 inf plt, 18 M3 H/T, M8 Scott HMC, 2 jeep/MMG, 1 M4 or M21 mrt carrier, 1 MMG pit, 4 57mm AGTs, 3 wpns pit (3 inf plt, 1 wpn plt, 5 H/T, 1 57mm ATG in each of 3 coys, all else in HQ coy)
Tank Destroyer Company: 3 M10 or M18 or M36; and 1 M20 utility car (u/c)
Cavalry Troop: 4 jeep/MMG, 2 M8 armored car (a/c)
Building the basic Combat Command costs $82.40. The full list runs up to $120.40. If CinC models were substituted where possible, the cost would be $58.25 before discount. Use of ROS miniatures would bring the cost down as far as $43.20.
