Apologies to the
Musee de L'Armee de Paris

Courier Dispatch: News of the Hobby

by Dick Bryant

In the last three issues we published various reproductions of painting! owned by The Musee de L'Armee de Paris, Hotel National des Invalides under the mistaken understanding they were in the public domain. They are all by Edouard Detaille:

Vol VII No 1, Cover: The Graveyard at St. Privat
Vol VII No 2, Cover: Jena 1806
Page 13: Napoleon III at the Camp at Chalons
Page 5: Vive L'Empereur, Friedland 1807 (owned by the Musee de Sidney
Vol VII No 3, Cover: Return of a Reconaissance Patrol
Page 11: Skirmish along a Railway Track.

The Courier apologizes for this lapse and will take every possible measure to see that it does not happen again. We appreciate the kind manner in which Mr. Jean Humbert of the Musee de L'Armee brought this to our attention.
