The Wargame Hobby

Two Points of View

by Dick Bryant

Take a deep breath before you read this article. No matter what your approach to the hobby is, it is bound to make you angry. That is good because in doing so it will also make you think about where the hobby is going and what you can do to improve it.

This article is really the combining of two articles by two different authors which arrived coincidentally in the same mail. They offer two totally divergent views on what the hobby should be and where it is going.

Perhaps it is an omen that they arrived together -- I would have published either with some trepidation if I had to publish it alone but together they are definately a "Think Piece."

Let me know if you would like to see more self examination of the hobby in these pages -- if yes, then you are invited to contribute to it.
