I have some good news for those of you out there who are long suffering historical miniatures gamers who desperately want some action when you go to Gencon. This year HMGS-Great Lakes in honored partnership with HMGS-Midwest is proud to announce HISTORICALS AT GENCON! Major Pete Panzeri, the director of this years Historicals at Origins Team helped put us in contact with the folks at Gencon. The discussion at that time was in reference to next year when GENCON moves from Milwaukee to Indianapolis. The discussions quickly turned to how we might be able to assist the WoTC folks at putting together a program of Historical Miniatures Gaming for GENCON THIS YEAR!!! Well, we are now well on the way to doing just that and we need your help. We need GM’s who are willing to drive to Milwaukee and be willing to run an event or two. There is a special deal available for those who want to run events it is listed below. In addition we would also like you to put in a couple of hours at the HMGS table, just like ORIGINS. Here’s the deal:
4 day Badge = two events (each 4 hour x 6 players) Now we are currently working out the details for folks who go “above and beyond the call of duty”. We are attempting to get hotel rooms for those who run run 4 or more events. The details are still being worked out on this but we will be notifying you as soon as we get something finalized. Is that a deal or what? If you are going to Gencon why not help out and help yourself in the process? David Van Hoose has the sign up information and it will be posted on the HMGS Great Lakes and HMGS Midwest websites shortly. Please help us out by spreading the word to as many folks as you know who may not be on (the WEB) lists or news groups, or not even online at all. We want to go into Gencon in force. GENCON 2002 is August 8-11, in Milwaukee, WI. Site is: http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=gencon Thanks again all, Good Luck and Good Gaming! Courier Dispatch News About the Hobby.
