The Allied Army which took the field in 1815 was a motley assemblage of military units of varying quality. These were recruited mainly from England and the Netherlands but also included sizeable contingents from the smaller German states of Hanover, Brunswick, and Nassau.

Siborne presents a very detailed breakdown of unit strengths for this army (usually down to regimental or battalion level) allowing the gamer to build his units in an "individualized" fashion; variations from this are noted in the text. Commanders' names and ranks are provided down to brigade level as required by Grand Army as well as the add a "personal" feeling to the game.
