Wargamer's Guide to Stalingrad

Book Review

by Don Lowry

by Donald Greenwood, editor

This 5 1/2"x 8 1/2" 65-page booklet has a long history. It was originally printed by Greenwood on his spirit-master Dittograph machine as the STALINGRAD STRATEGY BOOKLET. Not long before we took over PANZERFAUST from Don, we published two similar booklets, which he edited for us, called the WARGAMER'S GUIDE TO AFRIKA KORPS and TO BATTLE OF THE BULGE. By then the STRATEGY BOOKLETS were sold out, so we reprinted it under the present title as the third in our Guidon Games Wargamers' Guidebook series. This too was-out of print for the last couple of years, except for a handful of copies of this title we put together last year.

Now we're happy to be able to announce that is is now back in print. It consists of the best articles written in various wargaming magazines concerning Avalon Hill's all time classic, STALINGRAD, featuring George Phillies' famous "STALINGRAD IN DETAIL". If you enjoy playing this well-loved A.H. classic you'll find a great deal of interest in this thick little booklet. Even if S'GRAD is not one of your favorites you can learn a great deal about writing articles on the strategy and tactics of any board war game.

It now sells for $5.00 (inflation has hit the printing business too!) and is available from better hobby shops or directly from Panzerfaust Publications. PO Box 896, Fallbrook CA 92028.
