Del Rey, 2001, $6.50, ISBN 0-345-42722-X, 356 pages, paperback The second of the trilogy picks up with the young mage Galen complying with the ruling circle’s edict to gather the mage community and hide while the war erupts. But how to vanish? Cavelos weaves another interesting tale, and if I don’t quite understand the bolt hole they are creating, I do enjoy the characters within the plot. There’s a little vengeance, a little trickery, a little violence, and a little bit of this and a little bit of that to make this novel worth reading. Fortunately, all the B5 novels I bought were in the 50-cent bin. Cavelos, Jeanne: Babylon 5: The Passing of the Techno-Mages Book I: Casting Shadows
