Lon Nolan, fast-rising officer of the Dirigent Mercenary Corps, heads back to Bancroft as the Battalion commander in this latest installment. The mining cartel bad guys are back in force, and here we go again on the anti-guerrilla battle. But first, some pleasant family life, and more turmoil as his Earth-raised parents emigrate to Dirigent. But enough of that. Back to the military aspects.

There's more of those great, grand operations and this time, the evil cartel has made the process difficult by using stealth technology--not to mention a particularly nasty trick they play on their own wounded.

Can't wait until he makes Colonel.
