Vice President Resigns?

Citing "reasons of health and studies", Robert Sacks has resigned as Vice President of the American Wargaming Association. The resignation was effective on December 21, 1973. In announcing his resignation, our former Vice President stated that "While I am not withdrawing from the Regional Director election, I do not intend to be a candidate for any additional office in AWA.

As a result of this resignation, the post of AWA Vice President is now vacant. The AWA Constitution does not specifically provide for vacancies in offices, except to state that the Vice President has the duty to assume the duties of any national office who is not doing his job. It was the intent of the people who started the organization that vacancies be filled by special elections, but the by- laws regulating these have not yet been passed. This will hopefully be corrected at the earliest moment.
