Sri Lanka Painting

Service Review

by Ian Croxall

You asked about the Sri Lankan painters. I can only assume you mean Sanath Ferando's company - Fernando Enterprises. I have found their paint work to be excellent. I get better paint work from them at $1.50 a figure (about $1.80 with shipping both ways on 200+ figures - 28mm) than I have seen anywhere else at any price.

The paint samples on their website are very representative - www.miniature lovers.com/ and accurate.

Whenever I've sent figures I also sent color charts or samples. If you send a sample, you will get your figures painted exactly as the sample. I have only ever used the so-called "wargame quality" and have found it to be very good. The coats were painted with shade and crease lines with some highlighting. The faces were fantastic with great eye detail. My WSS 18th century drummers were painted in royal livery and looked great. I had some 15mm Franco Prussian war figures painted too - and they came out to the same great quality - for 50c a piece. I highly recommend them.
