August 2003 marks the 30th anniversary of the founding of the Strategy Gaming Society, as “The American Wargaming Association”. In honor of the event, those of you who have memories of the history of the hobby and wish to contribute vignettes are invited to do so.

Last month, our press date collided with a three-day weekend. Mail was to put it mildly slow. Mark Kramer’s Editorial got here much later than would reasonably have been expected, so this much we’ll have both his June and his July Columns.

Joe Minton Resigns Regional Director

I'm sad to say that I hereby resign from my post as Regional Director on the SGS. I do not believe that I can affect any positive change in the organization and I do not have the time or inclination to recruit new members into an organization that feels to me to be very broken.
