Origins 2003

Auction News Release

by Rick Wagoner

Gamer-folk I've been in contact with Mr. Mark Santillo with the GAMA staff. Right now there is a possibility that the auction will be canceled. Mark has expressed to me his concerns both logistical and financial and I have given him several suggestions in both areas.

If the auction is as important to you as it is to me, I urge you to drop him a line at events@gama.org and let him know how you feel. He is open to suggestions and has been prompt and courteous with his replies.

I'm not associated with any game company or vendor. For me, the auction, like the War College, is one of the main reasons I go to Origins. I'd hate to see it dropped.

The Triangle Unplugged Gaming Association. WWW.TUGA.US lists groups, events, stores, and such. Under Events you will find a Thursday night Board game night at GamesGalore in Raleigh (Glenwood Ave/US 70). Join us. There are usually 10-20 people and a lot of games to choose from. Note also Research Triangle Science-Fiction Society (http://www.rtsfs.org/)
