Special Election

We have a special election for Membership Secretary. The allowed votes under the By-Laws are “Jeffrey Tibbets”, “No”, and a Write-in of a member's name. The Post of Elections Officer is Vacant. Therefore, please send your vote to the Editor, George Phillies, 87-6 Park Avenue, Worcester, MA 01605, who will tabulate the vote and report the results in the next issue.

Treasury

Welcome to new member Peter Gowdy. Renewals: Van Giezen (3 years), Stanford, DiCrocco, Douds, Myers (3 years), Zollitsch (3 years), Parr. We also received $2 in interest, $27 for back issues, and $55 in MagWeb back issues. Printing and postage for the March and April issues, including the last of the mailing to former members who were apparently not notified that their memberships had expired, came to $528. The April issue costs include $120 for printing, $20 to the secretarial collator, and $60 for stamps. Certain additional economies have been identified for the May issue. We have $2954 left in the Treasury.

Volunteers Needed

To repeat several earlier requests, we continue to need someone who is able to put fliers together in order to handle the preparation of a new recruiting flier directed at College clubs and a new recruiting flier reminding people to renew, as the old on is rather dated. Your editor continues to look for people willing to scan Internet News groups for interesting letters that could with the permission of the original authors be turned into articles for Strategist.
