Well, here we are halfway through the year already. In this issue we have: Mark Jackson on some new German games and games of "chicken"; Part Two of a game variant for Stalin's Tanks, which could be fitted onto any simple tactical armor game; and a profile of James Mason (I'm having fun doing these profiles!). The gem this issue is the complete game, Waterloo 20 by Joe Miranda, just in time for the 185th anniversary of the battle. Is it possible to get a reasonable simulation of the ebb and flow of this climactic confrontation out of a game that has only TWENTY counters? Yes, it is! Try it and see.
