The significant improvement is to make one attack using the armor on S-32, and then a second attack using the armor on R33 and T32. The armor on S32 makes a 3-1 on the first 5-7-4 on S33, guaranteeing that the unit on S33 will be driven from the square. The armor on R33 and T32 then makes a 3-1 on the second 5-7-4. Because R33 and T32 are both river squares, and S33 is not, during the attack the second 5-7-4 is doubled. However, it is also by itself. No matter what the dice reveal, after the second attack the German armor advances after combat into S33, which is next to Moscow, cutting Soviet replacements. This change is indeed the promised significant improvement.
