War in Europe is playable, WiTP is not. I have played WIE many times in the past. I wish there was more chrome; but then again if there was, the game would have taken too long to play. WIE is basically a ground war game. The Naval & Air systems are abstract and use points rather than any specific units. I agree with the earlier post that World in Flames without all the expansions is the best game to simulate the entire war together. One specific add-on to War in Europe that I have, but have never used is the War in the World expansion that was printed in 3 consecutive issues of Moves Magazine...it was 44,45,&46 (I think). The neatest thing about the expansion were the armor rules that treated Panzer & Tank units as HQs for armor points of specific tank types. Each tank type had different ratings. Armor units were supposed to have a separate mini-combat before the regular odds attack. I never used the rules, but I always wanted to.
