I have played "Devil Bunny Needs A Ham" and despite a title and backstory that makes you wonder what drugs they are on up in Washington, the game is a fun little climbing game. It is a bit reminiscent of the old video game "Crazy Climber", but played on a board. Each player has 2 or 3 markers representing climbers and you roll 2 or 3 dice each turn. If a 6 is rolled on any die, the devilbunny knocks the highest climber off the building, who falls straight down until he is caught by another climber or he hits the ground. (If the fall too far, the climber dies.) Then the player uses the dice to move his climbers. They cannot be moved straight up or down, only diagonally or horizontally. They must be moved in a straight line and cannot move through another climber or the devilbunny. Some spaces are illegal to enter. The idea is to get your climbers up first, block you opponents and place them in protected position if the devilbunny should strike where you can be caught, but your unfortunate opponents will fall a great distance. I got my $2 out of it. ;-) Back to Strategist Number 323 Table of Contents Back to Strategist List of Issues Back to MagWeb Master Magazine List © Copyright 1999 by SGS This article appears in MagWeb (Magazine Web) on the Internet World Wide Web.
