Escape From Colditz

Game Analysis

by Kevin Whitmore

I've had a chance to play this game about 4-5 times. It is fun, but I think it is more of a novelty game than an enduring classic. Escape is accomplished by gathering important elements (rope, etc.) while "wandering" around the compound. Ultimately a break is made, and some exciting dice rolling ensues.

It is actually exciting to see the first few times. However, my gaming group hasn't played it for several months. There is a limit to your range of decisions and options. I would probably pick a few other games before Colditz. But it is better than several games I've played over the last year.
