Note a lot to say this month. The issue was a bit delayed by a death in the family; we'll be back on schedule next month. After early November my election campaign will be over; either I will have won (in which case I will be off to Washington and the U.S. Congress) or I will not have won, in which case I will have a bit more free time. I continue to welcome articles and supports for your society and your society's magazine. Readers to cover internet newsgroups would be especially welcome.

Since it is of some interest, I am not stunningly interested in being Editor again, unless no other candidate is available, and almost certainly will not be available to Edit in the year 2000.
