Britain Stands Alone is a rather decent game. The map art and counters are quite good. Individual ships are represented as well as counters for aircraft. It plays much like a D-Day game but with the Germans doing the invading. I think there are a number of scenarios covering immediate invasion to ones where the Battle of Britain needs to be won before an invasion can begin. I can recommend this game. Sinai 1973 was a disappointment. The map art is the best I have seen in a game but that is the best thing I can say about it. I think the detail of the units(and number of units) is too much. The rules are about as well written as possible but there are too many odd details in the rules that need to be remembered. The counters are pretty dull. I cannot recommend this game. If you are interested in this era I can recommend "Yom Kippur" from The Gamers. It is one of the simple system games. Very easy to learn and play but with some neat details.
