This is an extra-length issue, 16 pages instead of 12. I hope you like the material, which includes the end of Perry Moore’s Vital Ground Game, and two pages of unit counters from Brian Train for ‘Cutting the Soviets Down to Size’, a set of rules we ran a few issues ago. I have some specific requests for volunteers Electronic Site Contacts: The person or people will contact all the web sites listed on our contact page, telling them that their pages was reported in Strategist, and asking them to add a link to the SGS home page at http://www.islandnet.com/~citizenx/sgshome.html. Short reports on the sites for publication in Strategist would also be appreciated. Mailing list volunteers: We could certainly use someone to work through old issues of the General, etc. looking for papermail addresses for people who might be interested in belonging to an older gaming club, one which accidentally just happens to publish the best listing of published board wargames in the universe. Perhaps the two best listings, not saying which is better, since one of our members also publishes such a set. Readers: The object of readers is to work through a controlled piece of the internet news feeds, looking for interesting literate articles that we might like to reprint in -S-. This is currently one of my two main sources of articles, the other being contributions from you, the regular members. Note the fine pieces this issue from Perry Moore and Brian Train. Your mission, if you chose to accept it, would be to read through a particular news list, and pick out articles that you think people might want to read. You would then contact the people, get their permission and snail mail addresses, and forward the article, address, and permission statement to me. I’ll do the rest. I have the permission request statement all written up, too. Contact me at phillies@wpi.edu if you are interested.
