Let's begin with my confession of my errors. Last month's Presidential Message was actually a Vice Presidential Message. I scrambled the attribution. On the same line, the previous issue was for January 1998, not January 1997. Now the important topic. We really do need a new President and a new Treasurer. I'm not doing all the work. The Treasurer is ideally a long-time member of the club, someone with good computer skills, someone who is uniformly recognized as being of excellent moral character. However, someone who has been active in the bobby for a long time and fills the other requirements would be fine with me. On the topic Conserve Space, in your writing remember the efficiency of the Latinate abbreviations: e.g. for “for example”, i.e. for “that is”, ca. for “approximately”, viz. for “which see”.
