A Few comments here: First of all, as I've mentioned to our Treasurer in a letter to him, I am pleased with SGS on two major points: ONE: SGS membership is up to 114 members with a few possible new comers as well. TWO: The Treasury is in the best shape it's been in, according to George Phillies - Treasurer, & George has been in SGS from a long time so he should know. On the other hand, there is some bad news, but then good news as well: The Bad news is, Judy Krauss could not finish her term as Editor & I had to rush through the last issue of -5- myself to get it out on time. The good news is, we have had a volunteer to step in from SGS land to assume the remaining term of Judy's Office as Editor. The NEW Editor is: KEN ELLIS, Rt 4, Box 171, East Bend, NC 27618. Please submit-any articles directly to him. Should any have been sent to me, I'll forward them on to Ken. More bad news: Mike Ivancic, elected Vice President of SGS & individual in charge of Directorate Newsletter let his SGS membership expire & resigned as VP. Again, we have some good news, Bill Sariego had received the second largest amount of votes in last November's ballot for UP & he's agreed to step in as VP & try to get DNL going again. In short, we are not having problems, just a few technical difficulties. Hopefully, we'll get everything straightened out in next month or so & be back running like a well oiled clock. Bear with us, we haven't yet determined if we're on Standard time or Daylight Savings time yet but were certainly trying.
