Hornet Fans rejoice, the Swiss Air Force has selected the F- 18 over the Mirage 2000 for its next interceptor aircraft. Communist China has approached the Soviets about buying SU-27 Flankers, which they consider an ideal aircraft for defending their large territories due to its range.

The Portugese have signed a deal to replace their aging A-7Ps with F-16s. Meanwhile, Thailand is looking at buying 30 ex Navy A- 7Es to form a strike squadron around (SLUFs forever?). Taiwan is trying to buy Kfir C-7s from Israel and Pakistan is receiving new build MiG21Fs from China. Why? the price must bee right.
