The Distribution of 1814

The situation for the line regiments was unchanged into 1814, except that Infanterie Regiment Nr 8 was promoted in the hierarchy to Nr 7, its 1. Bataillon loosing a Royal Colour Pattern 1807 to the French at Montereau on 18th February.

On 14th July, however, a re-distribution of colours took place throughout the army as shown below. This included the use of older pattern Royal colours which were taken back into use and continued to be carried through 1815 and the end of the period.

    IR Nr 2 Herzog Wilhelm:3 Poppy red 1811 Pattern 3.
    IR Nr 2 Herzog Wilhelm:1 Poppy red 1807 Pattern 1.
    IR Nr 3: 2 Turquoise 1813 Pattern 3.
    IR Nr 3: 2 Turquoise 1807 Pattern 1.
    IR Nr 4: 4 Rose red 1811 Pattern 3.
    IR Nr 5: Prinz Friedrich:2 Light blue 1811 Pattern 3.
    IR Nr 5: Prinz Friedrich:2 Light blue 1807 Pattern 1.
    IR Nr 6 Kronprinz:4 Blue/white 1811 Pattern 3.
    IR Nr 7: 2 Blue/yellow 1807 Pattern 2.
    IR Nr 7: 2 Lemon yellow 1807 Pattern 1.
    IR Nr 7: 2 Blue/red 1807 Pattern 2.
    IR Nr 7: 2 Poppy red 1807 Pattern 1.
    Garnisons-Regiment Nr 12: 2 Dark blue 1811 Pattern 3.
