Following our mention of the web site on SCW ships ( which is truly amazing in terms of detail and information), we have discovered a new improved version of this web site which has colour pictures, more photo's, extended pieces on foreign intervention, and painting/markings details, (if any readers can point me to references on colour schemes for scw ships please let me know).

The Abraham Lincoln Veterans however have the most interesting SCW website seen so far.

The site contains all issues of the ' volunteer' their newsletter, details of their book and tape service, archive section, and a screen saver which you can download.
There is also a section called LINKS which lets you access veterans letters, and many other SCW military history sites, even a digitally recorded song -' van marchando los milicianos'.
The association itself is now offering associate membership to the general public, you will need to send a dollar cheque for $25 paid to ALBA - in return you get a subscription to their newsletter The Volunteer for 1 year and discounts on books, videos, and pamphlets
