Thursday 13 - Sunday 16 October 2005 Next year promises to be an exciting year for those interested in the naval side of the period, especially the Trafalgar Campaign. (Wouldn’t be nice if everyone could organise their events this far in advance!!) The Trafalgar Heroes Weekend embraces four days of bicentenary events in Portsmouth - academic, cultural, civic and religious - to honour the memories of all those who fought at the Battle of Trafalgar on 21 October 1805. The outline programme is: Thursday 13 October 2005 “1805”. An entertainment for choir, orchestra, soloist and audience, by Colin White. Portsmouth Cathedral. Friday, 14 October 2005 The Battle of Trafalgar Conference: Day 1. Royal Naval Museum and Dockyard, Portsmouth. The Trafalgar Conference Reception. Also this evening a Trafalgar Concert by the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra at Portsmouth Guildhall. Saturday, 15 October 2005 The Battle of Trafalgar Conference: Day 2.
