A Proclamation!

The Organisers wish to announce the Forthcoming Events which shall come to pass in the environs of Folkestone, Hythe and Romney Marsh during the Summer month of July in the Year of our Lord 2004 Citizens and discerning Travelers visiting this estimable Resort, which is famed for its Restorative airs and palliative Ambience, who wish to avail themselves of this Valuable Opportunity to experience elements of such History as was lived and breathed by their ancestors in the towns and villages of these parts, should pay due attention to the Extensive and Ameliorative programme of events designed not only to Inform and Entertain but also to offer such Opportunities for the Celebration of Britain's most unfairly maligned monarch - King George the Third

To fairly whet the appetites of avid festival-goers, the week will include such enrichments as -A Classical Concert at Saga's famed tented Pavilion. Horse-drawn Carriage rides along Europe's finest marine promenade, The Leas.

Thrilling skirmishes, battles and cavalry charge re-enactments by soldiers from the 600-strong camp of the opposing armies in the most beautiful grounds of the Folkestone School for Girls.

An opportunity to take up an Invitation to members of the Public to dine with the Duke of Wellington.
