Map of battle area, as always I am indebted to David Chandler's Dictionary of the Napoleonic Wars, published by Greenhill Books, 1993, for both the map on page 164 and background information. Fuentes de Onőro is a small village seemingly lost in the hills of the Spanish/Portuguese boarder, you will be surprised to hear that there is no sign of a major road never mind a motorway.
