Lord Hill's Medals

Lord Hill's medals were sold I believe in 1919 and now form part of an extensive collection of British medals and militaria at the Medal Gallery at Sheesh Mawal in Patalia, India. They were purchased by the Maharaja Bhupendra Singh, whose son Maharaja Yadavindra Singh presented the collection to the Punjab Government after his fathers death in 1938. The medals of Lord Hill that are in this collection are:- Gold Cross & 4 bars, Large Gold Medal & 4 bars, GCB & collar, GCW and Collar, Waterloo, Order of the Crescent, Order of St. George of Russia, GC Order of the Tower and Sword of Portugal, Order of Maria Theresa of Austria, Order of Wilhelm of the Netherlands.
