The Highland Brigade
Will Advance!

The Highland Brigade is a worldwide "non-association" of associated units portraying Highland regiments of the British Army during the Napoleonic era.

Most of the units belong to the Napoleonic Association out of the UK, but there is no requirement for such as part of the H.B. In fact, to be a part of the Highland Brigade there are no dues, applications or membership fees!

Too good to be true? Read on, MacDuff!

To date the "Brigade" consists of the 42nd in England, the 42nd and 79th in Germany, the 42nd in Australia, and the 93rd (plus a new unit of 42nd forming) in North America. All are actively recruiting and accept ladies and family members. Units and even individual unit members communicate with each other via exchange of newsletters, mail, fax and email.

The Brigade attempts to establish not only a friendly comradeship worldwide but also a certain standard drill and other basic forms of impression. This is so whenever any of the units (or individuals visiting another unit) participate together, as little confusion happens as possible. The entire Brigade gets together only once every five years - for Waterloo!

Speaking of Waterloo - In 1995 the Highland Brigade boasted 100 on the field - one of the largest units present. In 2000 our goal is to field 200!

If you are interested in wearing one of the most distinctive and respected uniforms in the world by joining one of these first rate units, or in forming a section or company in your area, contact the names below and you will be provided with the information you require. The different units will each have their own membership requirements.

Set your sites on Waterloo 2000 and march to defeat the Corsican ogre once more!
