10:00 - Museum opens (Members may set up displays in the Lecture Theatre).
11:00 - Introduction by Paul Chamberlain.
11:10 - Marching and Foraging in the Peninsula by Stephen Petty.
Between 1809 and 1814 Wellington issued a vast series of General Orders upon which a system of command and control was extended over all branches of service. It is by studying two aspects of logistics, namely marching and foraging, that Wellington's principles of command can be understood. This paper is based entirely upon original manuscript research in the Wellington Archives at Southampton University. The intention is to discover exactly how the Peninsular Army was sustained during the Iberian campaigns and how it marched from the depots to the zone of conflict.
    12:10 - Napoleonic Newsdesk.
    12:30 - Lunch
2:00 - Introduction to afternoon session.
2:05 - A Day at Waterloo from a Camp follower's Viewpoint by Jackie Harris.
This presentation looks at the spectacular event at Waterloo in 1995 from the viewpoint of a campfollower with the 3rd Battalion 1st Foot Guards, describing what she saw, how she felt, the clothes she wore, various incidents that occurred, and the general impression gained from close proximity to this dramatic event.
2:20 - Napoleonic-era Archives at the University of Southampton by Karen Robson.
The Wellington Archives are an important source of documents relating not only to the great man himself, but also as a valuable source of information on the British Army of the Napoleonic period. The University also holds other archive collections relating to the period.
2:35 - No Knickers, No Uniform! by Victoria Solt-Dennis.
This is a brief overview of what the womenfolk of the British and French armies did and did not wear during the period. It will be supported by a display of clothing of the era.
2:50 - Battle of Fuentes de Onoro by John Salmon.
This Peninsular battle was fought in 1811, and this talk describes the action, and looks at the battlefield today, illustrated with slides of the area.
    3:05 - Tea
3:30 - La Vendee Dechiree by Mike Freeman.
The war in the Vendee was a long and bitterly fought conflict. This illustrated presentation will give an overview of the civil and religious conflict in the west of France against the Revolution, and the associated Royalist insurgency. It will be a guide to researching the subject, and places of interest worth a visit.
